Stunning Elopement in Apulia, Italy

Collin and Lindsey did not officially meet until their first date. It all started when Collin saw Linsdey at the gym one day and decided to build up the courage and message her on Facebook. At that moment in time, Lindsey was not looking for a relationship at all, which made the chase quite difficult for Collin. However, his persistence did not go unnoticed as he kept asking her out on a date. They kept messaging back and forth for a good amount of time. Finally, Lindsey caved and agreed to a date with dinner and a movie.

At dinner, they both had an amazing time, but Lindsey insisted on paying half as she wanted to show him that she’s strong and independent. After the date, Lindsey remembers calling her older sister and telling her that it was the easiest date she’s ever been on. She told her sister that their conversation felt easy and they both felt incredibly comfortable. During dinner, Lindsey told Collin about a singer that she wanted to see in concert and before she knew it, Collin was buying them tickets to go see the artist the very next weekend. The concert was amazing, they both recall; it was a small venue and quite intimate. Lindsey and Collin ended up meeting Lindesy’s friends at a bar after the concert and spent all night together, talking, laughing, and having an amazing time. The very next morning Collin asked Lindsey to meet his parents. She felt shocked but agreed.

The beginning of their relationship was a lot of fun, and they both couldn't get enough of one another. With time, they also experienced quite a few challenges that only showed how strong their relationship truly was. From Lindsey working as a Care Registered nurse in a Covid ICU to taking care of an ill rescue dog, a job loss, and knee surgery, Collin and Lindsey stayed by each other’s side showing each other love, care, and support every step of the way. Then, in August 2020 they took a big leap and bought a house together, and got a couple of dogs too! But it was the little things that really led them to tie the knot - staying up dancing in our kitchen, waking up with one another in the morning before work, traveling together, showing up everyday for one another, and just chosing to love one another daily.

Lindsey and Collin reached out to Somewhere Crazy looking for a wedding elopement destination that’s off the beaten path. They wanted to have an adventure and to do something that was just for them. After a chat with our wedding planner Lara, they decided to elope in Apulia, in the South of Italy. They wanted their day to be extra special so we got together a Dream Team that was a perfect fit for their personalities. The couple decided on the Standard Elopement Package but added some lovely extra services such as videography, hair & makeup, and a boat tour.

The couple decided on an afternoon elopement and we got to work, giving the couple recommendations about their accommodation, restaurants, activities, and more. The couple decided to have their wedding ceremony in the afternoon, so we had the hair & makeup artist come to the couple’s accommodation three hours before the elopement, around 1 pm, while the photographers and videographers joined a couple of hours later. Lindsey and Collin decided to get ready together and got beautiful intimate shots of dressing each other and adding the final loving touches to their outfits.

The couple said their vows under an olive grove at a Masseria, a traditional Apulia farmhouse. Their wedding vows brought tears to everybody’s eyes as they expressed their appreciation and undying love for one another. Then, the couple and the Dream Team took the taxi to Monopoli, a beautiful seaside town nearby, and took pictures walking around the old city center. Then, it was time to take their boat ride where the couple popped a bottle of champagne (courtesy of Somewhere Crazy) and toasted to their new beginnings. Afterwards, their private transportation took them back to their Masseria where they had a big traditional feast waiting for them.
