The Costa Brava is a destination where history and nature come together effortlessly. With its medieval towns, winding stone streets, and dramatic coastline overlooking the Mediterranean, it offers an atmosphere that feels both timeless and deeply romantic. The region is ideal for couples seeking intimacy, authenticity, and a sense of place. Kim and Liam chose to celebrate their marriage in a deeply personal way, hosting their ceremony at their Airbnb and later heading to the iconic Marimurtra Botanical Gardens for their photos, where cliffside views and lush greenery frame the sea below.

Their story began in 2017 at their local pub in Shellharbour, where a casual introduction turned into a lasting friendship. What started as time spent together with friends slowly grew into something deeper, until a simple late-night moment after a birthday celebration made them both realize what had been there all along. From that point on, their relationship has been built on laughter, genuine friendship, and unwavering support through life’s highs and lows, including adventures, milestones, challenges, and loss.

Liam proposed years later during a trip to Adelaide, orchestrating an unforgettable moment among friends and vineyards, complete with nerves, misdirection, and a perfectly imperfect proposal. Choosing the Costa Brava felt natural for them: a place with a strong sense of history, a connection to the sea they both love, and a meaningful link to Kim’s Spanish roots. It offered exactly what they were looking for—an intimate celebration away from the bustle of a traditional wedding, and the perfect starting point for a European honeymoon.
